Anyone have info about fishing, lake or river (maybe the Amazon?).

I'll be going to Cgt. and probably Sta. Mta. and Baq. My comrade wants to do some freshwater fishing and has his little brain set on the Amazon. I can probably change his mind if someone has a reasonable substitute. If it's somewhere with some horse trail or clay pidgeon shooting that would be cool too. Or a trip to Brazil wouldn't be out of the question either. I looked on the internet, but alas,I'm still a jackass when it comes to finding stuff. Any info on that or other outdoor stuff would be apprectiated.

Hey Andrew, is just like Sam was saying; for some people in Colombia fishing is throwing a damn net, I could just imagine most lakes almost empty of any fish life. One day I was watching some guys pull in a big ass net in Bocagrande, Cartagena, eager to see all kind of big fish, what I saw was fish that were even too small for me to use as bait, but for them it was a good catch.

Fishing, continued Señor Sam, where did you saltwater fish, and was it surf or deep sea? And Andrew, I have a friend who tells me that Argentina has some awesome fishing, both fresh and salt water. Also, like Sam says, the FARC fishing is great on the Colombia/Venezuela border. The problem could be that it is definitely not CATCH AND RELEASE! How about Buenaventura? Any reports?
