I am trying to fly down for 5 days in August. See a friend, nothing special. I live in the Philadelphia area which is always expensive so Newark, NJ, JFK Laguardia, and Atlantic City all works for me. Suggestions are much appreciated.

Papi de Alejo says on Jun 11, 2009, 15:11: Try Continental. They have connections with AeroRepublica. From Albany, NY to Santa Marta is listed at $550; usually, it's over $700. Live simply... Love generously... Care deeply... Speak kindly... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

I saw MIA to MDE.. for like $59 each way... but the you add $110 in taxes it came out to like $220-$240 RT... in August-Sept.. "PAY ATTENTION! One stop in Houston with Continental. I went direct to Continental and it was $570. I normally use Kayak to search with good results but this time booking through Travelocity was far better. sergejf says on Jun 11, 2009, 15:47: I don't like Continental - they usually have that excess baggage embargo that means two checked bags and nothing else. American is a lot more excess-baggage friendly - only $100 per bag up to 23 kg. Anyway, from the West Coast the flights are a misery on both airlines with stop-overs in Houston or Miami. Price from $649 departing SFO to BOG. Granted, not totally relevant to your question, unless you carry extra bags :)

I can usually save $200-$250 by driving to NYC but then I have to deal with parking, etc and when all is said and done, I will have spent almost the same $200 that I was trying to save. Papi de Alejo says on Jun 12, 2009, 04:04: In that case, Spirit is a natural for you. You can fly out of LGA > FLL > CTG and get there by 12:30 - 1:00pm. Not sure if they fly out of PHL but they do fly out of Atlantic CIty. Live simply... Love generously... Care deeply... Speak kindly... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

mosvar says on Jun 12, 2009, 07:33: Thanks, I did the AC to CTG run the first time I went, they want abt $400-$500 depending. Just gotta keep my eyes peeled, guess it really doesn't get cheaper than that though.
