Any new thoughts or experiences with the iPhone?

Have been keeping up with them, and am almost 100% comfortable with bringing one down after Christmas. So far I have found that they of course will function on other bands, both domestically and internationally, and only require the typical GSM SIM card.

Does anyone have any experience trying one out down here in Colombia on a prepago plan via Comcel or a competitor, or maybe know of someone who has?

So far I just dont see any reason why it wouldnt, I just havent seen any firsthand info locally.

I have had an Iphone working with Comcel now since they were first "cracked"...it works great, youtube works, you can surf the net using safari web browser with a WIFI connection, you can receive email, google maps, it's an Ipod, you can carry your pictures, videos, etc.etc.etc.....I have 2 brand new, unlocked, in the box for sale, bought them at the apple store in South Beach, Miami.... 8gb models.PM me if you are interested

I will PM you, but if you can respond to these following questions in the forum for future people who might search and find the post, and for some blantant advertising of yours for sale...

I have heard that you cannot download from iTunes if it is activated via a GSM SIM card other than AT&T...do you have any problems with that?

Are the ones you have new and updated with the current 1.1.1 firmware BEFORE unlocking?

Sending you a PM now....

Pretty hard to argue that video Alezzz.....thanks!

I only wonder, after seeing his worktable, if he did that as a hardware modification or software hack. At any rate, I'm buying one from Jarhead and am pretty comfortable with the idea at this point!

Hi Bradenmiami,

How much is he selling the iPhone for?

You can buy one at Apple.com and unlock it using this: http://jailbreakme.com

No turboSIM required.

Pretty easy.
