basically it's too good to be true. He is right that stones that weigh .25 carat each bring 700-800 but the smaller ones bring 375-600 per carat. And you know what they say about things that are too good to be true......

most times people describe diamonds to me this way and they turn out to be "top light brown" which translate to K/L color and the clarity usually turn out to be more imperfect. Stuff that is really worth 250 per carat and no bargain to buy from someone outside of the trade. However there always can be an exception....

If he can bring them to NYC for inspection I would be happy to take a look.
