Any Good Restaurant Tips

Have found a few good restaurants in Bogota but am looking for some other recommendations. Good usual ones I know are Wok (various locs), Maria Mulata, Andres del carne Res, and a great Indian one in Usaquen called Katmandu (great vide in this place and Arabic dancing on Fri and Sat nights).

Any other great ones (out of the p 93 and Zona Rosa area)?

thanks

I liked Harry and Brad cafe in zona rosa, on 13 near 85, I think, just down the road from the BBC. Some stuff is expensive but not all. Try the minestrone soup and the indian curry wrap and splurge on a rasberry tart, damn good.

Urbano is pretty cool too, I think the area is called la macarena? 4 and 27 roughly. Almost a small version of andres but much quieter.

The mexican place beside the BBC has only 1 good thing, a burrito, but it's really good and cheap. Don't go for anything else though.

For GOOD pan de chocolate and lattes go to Michel's patisserie in zona rosa, facing the Morrison hotel.

I'm sure I know more but can't think of them right now. Oh, the bife de lomo at '1492' (across from Wok) in zona rosa is excellent. Oh yeah, you can get great grilled chicken during the day (only) at the place on the corner just down from the Pub on the same side of the street towards andino mall. You'll see them making it.

Cali mio (all over) for cheap and cheerful is USUALLY good chicken too.

Murillo a la Parilla is also good for steak, but I can't remember the address.

Carbon de Palo gets a second vote...there are several CdeP in Bogota, but the Av 19th one is where all the employees sing together after 10pm....really a sight to see, normally two different bands alternate playing...you can always find "A-list" celebrities and politicians there late in the evening....of course, with arm candy in tow... the phone number is 6-214-450 or 6-620-5586

i also had a nice Argentinian steak in Baires Restaurant, Carrera 12 #93-25(near Parque 93)

La Fragata restaraunt in the Bogota Royal Hotel is excellent but pricey...
