Any good Museums and Churches to visit in Medellin.

" Herself " is going off to the States today, for a few weeks and I need to know how to occupy myself ,in this lonely quiet city.
There must be something a fella could do in Medellin, alone for a few weeks. Some cultural sites that open early in the mornings, as I will, of course, be going to bed each night at 9pm .

haha... you see RAAY, it's not just us that go to bed at 9pm. Theyre all coming out of the woodwork now.

Well, i've had a couple of Macaw's in the freezer for while... was also thinking of a stew.
Apparently, the beaks taste nice in salad.

There is a Botero museum. I am not a big fan of his style, but it was still interesting. I liked the bull charcoal piece that I had as my avatar for a while. The one I have now is by Obregon.

I actually have a poster of his Bull at home. I bought it at the museum. Aside from that piece, I really don't like his fat people style. I guess some of the sculptures are pretty good. The hand and the bird statues are cool. There are a bunch in the plaza outside of the museum.

Take a trip to the library in Santo Domingo.
Visit La Candelaria.

A near disaster has just been averted................" Herself " almost did'nt get on the flight out of Medellin...........she was almost going to have to stay another day.

I would'nt have been able to get near a Church or Museum. She had forgotten a piece of paper for the dog......Avianca would'nt let her on the plane without it.............

I had 45 minutes to get to the airport or else she was gong to have to stay................F**k........I jumped on the bike...........although not a fast operator on a two wheeled machine, this was to much to risk..........her here for another friggin day..........agggghhhh
Quickest ride I ever had............foot pedals scraping off the tarmac............30 minutes later, at the airport, handed over the required paper.................now, time for a barrell of Peronis.....

Or go to the Cumbia festivals they are a lot of fun and the festivals represent Colombia culturally. Ask some paisas here on PBH they all know about all that stuff.
