Antique Car Show in Cartagena?? (Of All Places???)

On my way to work to El Centro this morning, along the side of road were about 8 Big Rig Car Tranporters each carrying about 8 Antique cars! Now, this is NOT a normal sight here in Cartagena. The weather here and salty air wreak havoc on ALL cars here, and will make a new car look like shit in a matter of months...jajajaj.....Anyway, there were: Model Ts, Model As, 50's convertible Tbirds, military jeeps, old Mercedes, old Gangster-Style Al Capone cars, and Muscle cars up the yingyang......i knew i probably still had some tequila in me from last night, but i know i was sober. i could not believe my eyes! It must have been some sort of traveling museum or something. Maybe they were shipped in the Port of Cartagena or something like that.....A personal collection of some bad guy? who knows...but next time i will stop and take some photos... they were on the road which leads to Barranquilla...so maybe some Antique Carshow there?

Anyone else know about this or have seen this?

The Antigua Automóvil Club de Colombia in Bogotá makes frequent out-of-town trips. We last saw themn about eight months in Zipaquirá . One guy even had a fully restored WW ll Jeep complete with mounted machine gun

MC, that is pretty interesting...probably a major showing over the weekend? or perhaps a new museum? These cars have regular tags afixed to them?

Sapo you are correct however, curious how easy to get parts shipped in jeje. Believe customs would definitely love you

Colombia has some enormous car clubs and many antique autos...I was impressed also at the central part of the country. Porsche clubs, very active especially Pereira.

lampltr...i knew i was going to regret not stopping and taking photos....but it was hotter than shit this morning, and its starting to get really humid as well....didnt get close enough to look at the plates...if i see them again i will certainly take alot of photos....i have seen alot of old cars here, but not perfectly restored ones like these..that is why i thought maybe it was a travelling museum.....they were cool, though....

Interesting Sapo, thanks...what year is your Bronco? Was thinking about shipping in a K5 CST Blazer somewhere around a 72' Is classified as a classic and definitely falls within Colombia's crazy guidelines for antiques. My Porsche, not real sure believe I will have to keep her in Panama for awhile until or if CO changes its current laws of 35 years mama mia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
