Assume we have gone through the K-1 process. My fiancee is with me in US. We apply and receive a marriage license. Do we have to get married in US or can we go back to Colombia and get married and have no trouble returning back to US after the wedding? Thanks for your help.

Robert Jorge says on Oct 4, 2007, 09:45: The K1 visa is good for one entry into the US. It must be used within six months of receipt. Once your fiance enters the port of entry (airport) in the US, you guys have 90 days to get married IN the US. If your fiance leaves the US before the wedding, or even before receiving Permanent Residency after the wedding, his / her case is considered abandoned, and he / she will not be allowed to re-enter the US again, without obtaining another visa. --"I believe in making the world safe for our children.
