Unless There ISA Legal Reason.. for an annulment why not file for divorce-quicker and cheaper. Law concerning divorce was radically change and the process speeded up in, I think, mid 2006. BTW, your post was a little unclear.

Last but not least and reading between the lines there is a big problem somewhere. I would NOT rely on Internet advice but find an attorney asap.

time The annulment of a civil marriage is a very difficult thing because you have to prove the existance of at least of one cause ( force, mistake or violence).

In case of the divorce, the time depens if it is mutual or in Court.

When it is in Court. the annulment can take more than 2 years depending the court and the city where it is.
