Animation in Colombia

My nephew is very interested in computer animation and is also interested in Colombia. We'd like to know if anyone is aware of universities or art schools in Colombia with good computer animation programs?

Any animated television programs for children developed locally there?

Animation School I don't know about Columbia... But in Florida there's DAVE school. www.daveschool.com. If you've seen any popular movies and sci-fi tv shows in the past 15 years you've seen their work.

The reason I mention them, they have students from all over the world, its in Florida (mjaor travel hub for Columbia) and I've seen other spanish speaking students there if speaking english is an issue you're concerned with.

One more thing... Another alternative is online schooling. A bunch of PIXAR and ILM (star wars) special fx guys just started an online virtual school that's supposed to be great. So maybee you nephew can enjoy the Colomiban life while he does the online classroom thing...

I remember that the first colombian animated feature film came out last year, "Bolivar el Heroe". I believe it was made entirely in Colombia.

I have noticed animated music videos from Colombian groups Arterciopelados & Cabas, I am pretty certain they were done in Colombia.

Arterciopelados is a great listen, I am spinning a CD right now.
