I just came back from Colombia with my fiance signed G325 and Letter. But stupid me forgot that I had some baby oil in my back pack which somehow caught part of my novias G325. Her G325 is still legible but it's obviously looks a little wet. Do I have to get a brand new G325 and get it signed all over again or will they accept it as is.

Sonny says on Aug 15, 2005, 13:24: ElChe A It would be better if you got it replaced. One thing you do NOT need is a reason for the Embassy to delay the process. It would take less time to replace the G-325. If she has a copy (and she should) then have it notarized and send it to you asap. A week in the mail is better then a month delay AFTER they say no.

BAQ says on Aug 15, 2005, 14:48: NEW ONE The Embassy WILL NOT accept ANY PAPER WITH A "FOREIGN SUBSTANCE" on it. There are signs all over the Embassy in Bogota that clearly state this policy. Semper Fidelis ! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

rjstuff says on Aug 15, 2005, 15:28: You don't need it notarized! The only form you will need to get notarized is I134 - much later not now! And you don't need G325a or the letters of intent or I129f notarized. Have her redo it and send it as fast as possible. Good luck

Neonovo says on Aug 16, 2005, 15:23: G325s don't even have to be signed by the beneficiary... I signed all G325s (the BIO forms, 4 mine, 4 hers); then I caught some flak in another thread (which I can handle) becuase she hadn't signed hers. Yet, our paperwork is complete, and the interview is set up for Sept 13th.

rjstuff says on Aug 16, 2005, 15:30: Did you sign it with her name? Or your own? If you signed her name and they catch it as not matching - that could be fraudulent! If you signed your name - that will be the wrong signature - I think you are stuck between a rock and a hard place - if you squeek by - good for you, but I will NEVER suggest you do that. Do it the correct way - this is the US govt. they can get real upset about not following their instructions just to speed up the process for yourself!

Neonovo says on Aug 16, 2005, 15:34: I signed my name as the petitioner... I filled 'em out online via the Adobe Acrobat interface, printed them, signed 'em all with my name (I belive the label under the signature line reads "Petitioner") and sent 'em away....and VOILA!!

rona says on Aug 16, 2005, 15:55: dude redo the G-325s . . . save yourself the headaches . . . Neonovo I think you may have lucked out on the G-325s; I inadvertently signed hers and couldn't get an interview date until they got one with her signature - it delayed us about a month = that was the explanation I got from the USCIS. - maybe you should have some with her signature just in case they give you a hard time at the interview

Neonovo says on Aug 17, 2005, 11:39: Redo the G-325s . . . Ok...I will; taking 'em with me for our Sept 13th interview. A month's delay would be a big bummer...In fact, I had printed an extra set, but already shredded them after I got the 1st notice of approval.

BAQ says on Aug 19, 2005, 10:06: Yea OK yea, OK, send it no, NO PROBLEMS. It amazes me that people get on here and post wanting HELP, then come back later and say "You guys are wrong". Semper Fidelis ! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Gator says on Aug 19, 2005, 14:37: Guess Who... will make the determination it is " legible." I also happen to agree, most hardley, with BAQ "Brevior Sltare Cum Deformibus Mulieribus Est Vita!" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
