Alvaro Uribe's "cousin"

Yesterday we were on our way to a party and as she likes to do, my wife started telling me a story about one time when she was travelling from Medellin to Monteria. She was going to meet her mother and some of her brothers and go to a party at a finca in honor of Alvaro Uribe. A coworker was going to Cartagena so they were on the same bus. She was telling him about the party and he decided that he wanted to go to the party and meet Uribe. So they got to Monteria and met her family and went to the party together.

When they got there, a friend of her brother's who was a little drunk decided that he would amuse himself by introducing her coworker as Uribe's cousin. The thing that is a little ridiculous about the whole thing is the coworker is kind of a flamboyant guy. He wears his long blonde hair in a pony tail and he is openly bisexual. So I guess the idea of introducing him as Uribe's cousin was an appealing one. The coworker went along with the joke and posed for photos with various people and spent the entire party going around posing as the president's cousin.

The one thing I am curious about is whether they introduced him to Uribe as his cousin or whether he got wind of what they were doing. Everyone had a good time anyway.

Oye UC Why don't you ask your wife or that "little drunk" if they were introduced?

I asked her later and she says that they were introduced but before they started the "cousin" stunt. Apparently this was during an election campaign and he left to make more campaign stops. My wife says her mother found out about it later and was pretty pissed about it.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
