Alligator-chasing and eating roast ants - Colombian holidays with a difference

A respected journalist and ex-politician, Matthew Parris, has written an interesting article in The Times today about life starting at 59 - in Colombia!
My question is - does anybody know how to find the organisers of these sorts of holiday. I am employing a Colombian woman to phone research, but as so often in Colombia, nothing really works until you stand in front of someone - pleading. (And even that did not work with Comcel, when I tried to throw 1.1 million pesos at this arrogant company for an iPhone - the gum chewing lady was obviously trained to find lots of reasons why I could not have one). And on the subject of iPhones - how about a phone company selling a 3G phone - but without having a 3G network (Movistar admit it when pushed!)

As Colombia become increasingly prosperous, and Europeans look further afield for 'adventure' holidays in slightly 'risque' countries, I would think there is a business opportunity here for someone to organise this better (or is the slightly chaotic arrangement part of the attraction?)

I think the days of Colombia being an unusual destination are over. Time to start up a forum about Moldavia perhaps.
