All inclusive trip....

Hi everyone. I am looking to take an all inclusive trip to Colombia this year with my husband and another couple. I am a Colombian-American born in the US. I am trying to decide where's the best place to go. My friend wants beaches, I want culture. Any suggestions on where the best place to vacation is...Cartagena, Santa Marta, San Andres, Taganga?? We definitely want all inclusive. I have read most of the travel guides and information on this site and others, but I wanted a few personal opinions. Any help will be appreciated!!

Cartagena Beaches are not often found with culture in Colombia. However, Cartagena does have the historic old city to visit when your friend is at the beach.

I do not think there are many all-inclusive packages in Cartagena. I would suggest renting an apartment from Juan. His web site is here:

He has a very nice penthouse (playa1301) that includes a full time maid who will take care of all your needs. There are many fine restaurants to enjoy in Cartagena as well.

The only all inclusives available in Canada are to Cartegena (as far as I know)... although San Andres may offer something, as they heavily promote tourism. Santa Marta and Tagana are more of a national beach holiday spot, as opposed to international... so I doubt there are (m)any all inclusives there. Check travel agencies/operators to see what they offer from where you live... cause I suspect there is little info posted here cause most of the people here do not do all inclusives often in Colombia. I would agree with the comment about that Cartegena probably offers the most since you want both culture and beaches.
