Who the hell paid 8.000.00 pesos!!! was it worth it!!
I would not paid 1.000.000 let alone 8 million to see anybody!!!

You're latin and you don't know who Alejandro Fernandez is? What planet are you living on?

HERE'S SIMON!!!!

ColombianoGringo says on May 2, 2008, 15:34:

He is the cheesy son of Vicente Fernandez. Vicente was/is a famous Mexican ranchera singer (still alive?). Alejandro is just a greaseball that used his daddy's name to get famous. I can't stand the son's music, but a lot of Latin women seem to love it. However, the dad was good if you are into rancheras. I admit that from spending so much time in Mexico, I like a few.

Simon says on May 2, 2008, 15:38:

Alejandro does have a great voice though and I liked his earlier stuff when he stuck to his mariachi musical roots. I haven't liked much of his pop music lately.

And of course Vicente Fernandez is alive, he's a living legend, the king of 'rancheras'! What a voice!

Simon I know Vicente Fernandez but sorry here in the UK we don't here about all of this Mexican artist or other Latin artist, the only well know ones here are Shakira and a bit Juanes, otherwise zero Latin Artist. But I know there in the USA you are bombarded with Mexicans stuff

I remember listening and watching both Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez videos on big screens in bars in Colombia about ten years ago! The places were always packed and everyone seemed to really enjoy them. Their music is great to drink to! Colombians love their music and it's good stuff too!!

Here's my favorite Alejandro song:

You're right. He did OK with rancheras and mariachi. I can't stand his pop and ballad stuff. Of course, I hate most Latin balladeers. That stuff is so cheesy.

Simon says on May 2, 2008, 15:59:

I think Alejandro has a great voice also. I think it's even better than that arrogant jerk Luis Miguel.

I admit I do like some of Julio Iglesias's classic ballads.

Well. Old Julio is in a league of his own. I know all the words to every song on his "Hey" album because my mom played it so much when I was a kid.

As far as Latin ballads, my wife calls them "Música para cortarte las venas".

Colombians are crazy about Mexican music and food-if you bottled Mexcian bathwater I'm sure some Colobians would buy it for cocteles.

He's the son of Vicente Fernandez, who the best known marachi singer in the world. He is no Vicente when it comes to voice. My friend, a Urologist, in Bogota is his father in law. Alejandro is married to one of his two beautiful daughters (a real fox). He's says Alejandro is a real jerk and mr. machisto! He has beauitful women at his feet with the snap of the finger, from all over latin america. Hummm..wonder if he needs a gringo butler?

Trust no one...except God. Hope to retire in Colombia

Simon says on May 2, 2008, 17:44:

I believe Alejandro's ex-wife was a caleña named 'America'. And yes, that guy gets plenty of poontang!
