Airline websites

Afternoon,

I've been looking to book tickets to Colombia from the UK and I found flights on American Airlines for £610 which I thought wasn't so bad. This was with me selecting that I was a UK resident at the start.

However, if I say I am a "US or Other" resident the price is $1,000 (or about £500).

Does anyone know if there are ramifications for saying I am a resident of the "US or other" when I'm not? i.e. would the ticket be null and void?

Cheers

Conor

I don't know. But I wouldn't risk sabotaging my trip to Colombia for £110.

£610 is a good deal. I'd stick with it, if I were you.

Good luck.

ALright Conor, i don´t know the answer to your question but i used this site before http://www.aircomet.com/index.php?lang=en&iso_c=ES if you book a few months in advance you can get some good deals but only from Bogota to Madrid, then book a cheap flight home. I just did a search for the 1st of april and it come back for less than 300 Euros! If you don´t like booking online, just give them a call but phone the Madrid office as last time the office in London was more expensive but still less than 400 Euros.

May have to do with difference in taxes for residence and non-residence? Not certain but that would be my guess.
