Air conditioning?

My question is for my fellow friends living in Cartagena. My wife and I now have our house for sale here in cold ass Indiana.I was wondering if they sell an air conditioner unit that does not need to be placed in the window? Kind of like a stand alone any ideas?I can live in the heat but prefer to sleep cool.

Sure, split units are very popular. Evaporator is hung on wall, and condensor goes almost anywhere outside.

Do a www.google.com search for "air condtioning" split, and you can add LG, or sanyo

LG is Korean, but quite popular in Latin America. Sanyo and Mitsubishi also popular here.

12,000BTU, maybe $350US in Panamá, not sure in Colombia.

But RAAAY, those are "portable" units. The splits are much nicer, and not so expensive here. I have a 22,000 BTU Panasonic in my living room, and it's very nice.

Maybe $800US in Panamá

We sell one in Sears. They stand upright, don't look too bad, plug into a standard 110 outlet, and are about 10,000 btu. They are Kenmore label - but I am 99% sure LG makes them for us. I just can't remember the price, but I think it would be around 5 or 6 hundred dollars. PM me if you want more info. I can deliver anywhere in the US - even Indiana.
