Aero Republica

I just tried to buy a ticket from MDE to BOG on Aero. Thay had the best fare, but, when I tried to purchase it on their website, they didn't seem to accept credit cards and the only debit card they would take had two passwords. Am I missing something or are they? I went with Avianca.

Thanks, that's an interesting site for future reference. The availability of flights is somewhat limited but the prices are slightly better.

None of those sites make it easy for you to buy online.

Aerorepublica only takes payment from Colombian bank accounts, so if you don't have one, or don't have the password for online purchases, then that's it.

Despegar is the worst. Their publicity doesn't include taxes or fees as they are required by law and as the other companies do. If you go through with a purchase, they will take your credit card info, and after that they show you the final price to pay (which includes a small surcharge on top of the price they showed you before typing in your credit card) and then you get the big surprise: They give you 2 options i) they send someone to your house or office and make the transaction there so you can sign the voucher, or they make you scan/fax a copy of both sides of your card and a form of photo ID. Only then will they issue the ticket. What happened with making it easier for the customer with these two companies?

This is incredible. It's like they are giving the business to Avianca on a silver platter. Even Aires was easier to deal with.

I hate Avianca with the heat of a dozen burning suns.
