I love the food .. the price of food and the colombian lifestyle... I would like to stay about a month in BOGOTA AND ALSO EN MEDELIN......I DO NOT HAVE ALOT OF MONEY.... and am ASKING FOR ADVICE AS TO what would be the best way to find a good place to stay ie.. furnished 1 bedroom, ie... or room... I would like as nice as possiible but trying to stay between 250-400 a month. I have never stayed in a hostel and am not really wanting to go that route... I AM ALSO FLUENT EN SPANISH..as if that would matter......

Is that price quote for rent or your total expenditures overall? I share a three bedroom penthouse with 2 Americans and one is leaving for a few months, we would be open to the possibility of you renting for a month or two. Cheap, nice, well located. Let me know if you are interested. Sebas

If you really wanna experience bogotá. . . I recomend chapinero, to your visit. It´s quite cheap, you can buy combat food, still near to the downtown. And easy to get there thanks to transmilenio. Near to almost all universities in bogotá, and all "rumbiaderos" get there. Near to la zona "t". And almost any public transportation past from the seventh avenue (la séptima).

Try this web: www.metrocuadrado.com so, you can see posibilities all around colombia.

and have a good time.

If you lived in Colombia...shouldn't you already have an idea of the costs?
