Advice on travel to Colombia

Hi,

I would very much like to visit Colombia this year, but am worried about safety - also, I have a bit of a temper and am worried that this will get me into serious trouble.

Is the situation as bad as it's made out to be in the media? Can I visit Bogota, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena? My ex-girlfriend, who is herself a Caleña, had a very difficult time there. In fact, it was a nightmare come to life.

Any advice from, especially from Colombians, would be welcomed. I would also like information about sicarios. Finally, I would be interested to talk and perhaps meet Colombians here in London. Are there any good Colombian restaurants or bars?

Stay Home...for your sake! Yep, its really bad in Colombia for english hoodlums such as yourself that will only wind up getting rubbed out in some cheap whore house. At least that is what your TEMPER will do to you.

Why do you want to go there if yor Ex-gf doesnt want to or had such a terrible time there? Would you go to Iraq? Theres lots of beautiful women in Bagdad for that matter!

You want info on contract killers??? You just proved that you are definitely another fcuking w*nker!

Uff You want information about "sicaros"? They are for hire for anywhere from 5$usd-5 million-usd... it just depends on who you want to "off"...the corroncho who is screwing your girlfriend or Tirofijo. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask about...y que te tengas suerte.

Stay home, please and yes be careful with the sicarios, and most important continue to watch same tv networks and follow their political/news propaganda.
Keep in mind there is always two sides to the story!

Agent X I live in Cali and i find it hard to imagine anyone getting themselves in trouble here.(unless they are a belligerent drunk or something) This is very laid back here in Colombia,so rest your nerves. And even if you did manage to get yourself in trouble, the authorities would likely be more leanient with you because you are a foreigner.I know an English guy that lives here in Cali and he loves it here as well.Agent X,if you need anything while in Cali give me a call.cell 300 446 4690 home 680 2327 arthurbrode at aol.com

London restaurant I recommend La Mazorca, London, 384 Brixton Road, SW9 7AW www.lamazorca.co.uk/ five minutes from Brixton underground station. Full of Colombians, live music in the evening, wonderful Colombian food and waitresses. London is heaving with Colombians, if you want to meet some why not put an advert in your local newsagent’s window. I have some wonderful friends from this method, or there is amigos.com again thousands of Colombians in London.

airetupal; miguel; Gringodiego airetupal - you f*cking loud-mouthed p*ssy, who is the f*cking w*nker, me or the f*cker that tortured my girlfriend? If he was here, I wouldn't need to ask about f*cking sicarios. You might go to whorehouses, but that's not my thing.

Miguel, Gringodiego - not a corroncho, but yes I am looking for somebody.

Deer Follows Woman Into Home, Attacks Her

UPDATED: 9:55 pm EDT June 18, 2006

BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A 75-year-old northeast Ohio woman is recovering from injuries she received this week when a deer got into her home and attacked her.

Mary Blake, of Broadview Heights, opened her patio door Wednesday to let her border collie back inside and was shocked when a female deer followed close behind.

Blake says she tried to shut the door, but the deer knocked it off track and then knocked into Blake and started stomping her.

Blake frantically called police as the deer damaged her walls, furniture and some keepsakes.

Two police officers arrived and were able to coax the deer outside.

Blake was treated at the hospital for bruises and cuts on her arms, legs and stomach. She has 27 stitches on her right knee.
