I will be travelling to Bogotá next week and staying there for an indefinite amount of time (I have a return ticket for May of next year). I was planning on returning to Los Angeles for about a month in November and wondered whether it might be better for me to purchase that ticket in advance (while i am still in L.A.) or closer to November. I know I can easily purchase the ticket at the Copa Airlines counter here ($630, not too bad) and take it with me to Bogotá, but don't know whether purchasing it in Bogotá might be more cost efficient. I've never purchased a ticket to the United States while in Colombia, so I'd appreciate any advice.
I'm very excited (and nervous) to finally be going back to Colombia. It's only been a couple of years since I was there, but it still feels like a lifetime since i've seen my family. :)

Zedd says on Jul 27, 2005, 12:56: In the past.... In the past I used to take ACES Airlines. They are now under Avianca. I went through a travel agent in North Miami. The name of the place was America Travel. You might give them a shot. Specials come and go all the time on both sides -- it's really just a personal call as to where you want to buy it. Personally I've found more frequency of better rates here in the states. Good luck...
