Advice on buying air tickets to Bogota

Hi,

Im planing to come to Bogota in December from Santiago Chile. Can someone advice on when and with which air company to buy the tickets from? Is it cheaper to buy them now or last minute?

The best flight I ever had, as far as service, was with LAN Chile. I highly recommend them, and they have direct flights from Santiago to Bogota.
