Adopting, popular girl names in Colombia

My husband and I will be adopting a girl from Colombia, we will most likely adopt a child that is 2-6 years old. We do not plan on changing her name, however we are curious as to what are some common girls names in Colombia. Any thoughts?

Carolina has got to be the most popular name I have come across. I was dating 3 Carolinas at once for a while there...anyway, it 'translates' well too I think.

Addopting Congratulations to both of you guys! That´s a wonderful choice.
I have two addopted children and they are our blessing.
About his name, I would suggest for you two to choose a name as if you didn´t knew it, because he´s (or she´s) going to be your baby; God will choose among all the one who is just for you two; you will give that baby your lives as parents, your love, education...he´s going to learn much from you, get your facial factions... would be willing to share with you in private if you wish to learn more about our experiences, and others we´ve heard about: finmark_consult at yahoo.com my name is DDH.

Common colombian girl names Normal, run of the mill names: Patricia, Alejandra, Carolina, Catalina, Sonia, Claudia, Angela, Paola, Andrea (mostly Paola Andrea), Natalia, Lina, Lina Maria, Adriana, Lisa, Sandra, Silvia, Ana Milena, Olga Lucia, Beatriz, Ana Lucia, Ana Maria, Clemencia, Ximena..... These names make up about 50% of the colombian female population, I bet I just named the wives and girlfriends of most of our PBH members.

As DG mentioned, you also have Yassuri, Anyi Yamileth, Yurli Yizenia, Mirly Lizeth, England Irlanda, Britnispirs Rodriguez, Mariyuri Diyursai, Shelly Fahisur, LeidyDayana Martinez..... If she has one of these names you might want to change it, unless you want her to grow up to marry Jhon Efe or Sneider Rosseau.

Too many Don for a name, that really ain't that good. In Scotland, Lady, is a name that old women call a pet dog. Like a little Scottish Terrier or Corgi dog......hahaha..not too good too call your daughter this.
