Hi,
After 19 months of US residency and marriage, I divorced my Colombiana. Somehow, she lost her family values and marital commitment when she got to the US.
She is applying for her I-751 Adjustment of Status without my help or signature. She has very few of the documents they request and has no work history. She has a 9 year old daughter who is part of the application.
If anyone knows the outcome (Residency or Deportation) of a similar situation please let me know. THANKS.
Shamus

He brought his wife to the States and after 6 months, she ran away with a GRINGO. She got lucky, cause she was gonna be deported within that same year, but I don't know how she got married and nothing happened to her. I guess, you would have to report that issue to your local Immigration office. My man, keep your head high. And I feel you

Gator says on Jun 4, 2007, 19:17: Residency A legitimate divorce is no grounds for Deportation She can apply for US Citizenship 90 days before the three-year date on her I-551(Green Card). The only way she could be prevented from obtaining citizenship is for YOU to prove visa fraud then both of you would be in the soup. Your signature would not be required for the I-751. However a ray of sunshine. ("She has very few of the documents they request and has no work history."
