Accom on Playa Blanca

Hey,

Im heading to Cartagena in Jan 2007 just before carnivale, and i want to travel to Playa Blanca and stay there for a night, however im not too sure about sleeping in the hammocks.

Does anyone know any other type of accom available on Playa Blanca?

Cheers
Duncan

I have visited Playa Blanca a couple of times and I didn`t see any hotels or any accomodation but grass hut close by. To get there you have to go by boat or take a ferry then travel on a VERY rough road for about 5 miles and I mean VERY I traveled it on my dirt bike, though there are busses that use it, I dont know how..

hmmm...so the only accom is in the huts. I think they are the hammocks i was talking about.

I may just have to make it a day trip and stay in cartagena.

If you make a day trip go by boat, you can pick one up close to old town. I would recomend you take the biggest one you can, as the trip can be quite rough in that the water is choppy and the smaller lauchers beat you to death. The trip takes about 45 min.
