A little feedback over commercial property values in Medellin would be most appreciated

Dear Members,

My wife and I own a small "local" in Boston, Medellin. We have been approached regarding its possible sale but we have no idea of its value per meter squared, mainly because we had not intended marketing it yet and have not had time to research same. I have tried a few general web-sites and other sources but I am still in the dark. Anyone out there know of any good information sources or better still, have any first-hand knowledge due to recent purchase or sale of similar property in the area? We have a reasonable idea of apartment rates per meter; is there a "multiplication factor" for converting from this to commercial rates in Medellin? Knowing what the people are like here, as in impatient, it would be good to have something to say fairly soon before the potential purchaser loses interest.
Any help would be most welcome and gratefully received; thanks!

PS, this is a genuine enquiry, we are not trying to sell it through this source; it is simply for information retrieval should anyone here feel sceptical about this post.

Cheers,
Ken

kenblanquito,

Only way in my view is to check out other locals in the Boston area similiar to yours, that will then give you a guide to pricing.

Thanks, tried that and none have been purchased in that area for about 3 years, so no updated prices available. I like to research myself when I can, when some sort of information may be available. On this occasion, useless and it would appear that I may have to pay a valuer or hire an agent; annoying when somebody has already shown an interest but I cannot return his call to provide a price.

Pedro, OK if one knows of a good one. Trouble is, there are many "experts" here who are not. I found that out when my house was renovated and for example a qualified electrician that we hired who made a mess of rewiring the 220 Volts in our house and my wife received a thunderbolt which could have left me a widower. He received his marching orders but it could have been my wife's life and any retaliation would not have repaid that error. Too many cowboys and now any "professional" is by recommendation only; trouble is I do not know anybody who can provide a good reference for a valuer here in Medellin.
