Huge arses Well, I think that's a bit unfair - I would say I saw far more dodgy moustaches in Spain than Colombia (and sideburns!) But one thing that really struck me the first time I went to Colombia was the way some women had HUGE arses, and I mean absolutely GINORMOUS, with TINY waists and legs. AND they managed to find jeans that were that shape. I had never seen anyone that shape before and was amazed.

bah humbug! Almost all caleños I have met have been anything but fat! Most of them don't have mustaches either...or sideburns...the fashion seems to be rather short-cut hair, no whiskers or beards, and it's only the middle-aged or old men that paint their nails (transparent nail enamel to finish off the manicure...I don't like it either).
And yes, Shaz, Colombian men seem to like big behinds....they check you out from the behind before they look at your face.

no big butts on guys in Cali, at least. The guys aren't all that muscular but more like lean, toned and functional. I haven't seen much facial hair or sideburns in Cali; most guys have rather short hair, which is a pity because the long black mane a la juanes or elmo in the 70's loos like a dream on a caleño.
