Of all the years I have been around latin salsa dancers, Habana, Miami, New York, Cali, Cartagena, Madrid I have never seen any non latino who can come close to dancing the real thing, its inbedded deep down in their genes, so steve if you are not a latino and want to dance like that guy in the video, you have years and years to practice and maybe one day you will be able to come close.

All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self evident.

You guys haven't learned yet that for a gringo starting off at square one, it just isn't worth it. Accept that we can't dance salsa, they can't play golf, and spend your time and efforts improving your spanish. It'll pay off so much bigger dividends.
Only exception would be you live full time in colombia, are 100% fluent in spanish, and independently wealthy. Then knock yourself out...

ok- salsa and other dances are learned from a very early age just like anything else.

if a gringo's family was a family of dancers and taught their children to dance at a very young age then they would be able to dance salsa and stuff just like latinos...

however since dancing is not in the gringo family culture it just doesn't happen.

of course anyone can learn to dance salsa and other latin forms if they have rhythm and can feel music and are willing to learn and practice...

i do not believe for a second that only latinos can dance salsa- that's a falsehood.

its just that most gringo's are not interested in dancing salsa and are intimidated by it so they never put the effort in to learn how to dance like this...

and not all latinos can dance salsa great either...that's also a falsehood- hell a couple months back i was dancing with a young colombiana and she told me i danced better than she did (we were dancing merengue and bachata and cumbia) and that she wanted to take lessons from me...

i will say tho if you want to be more successful with foreign born latinas stateside then aside from learning spanish you gotta learn how to dance...and show her fire and passion in the bed...

as i mentioned in another thread- i'm seeing a dominicana right now and when she tells her friends that she has a gringo that can dance, speaks some spanish and is hot blooded they all call her mentirosa conio!!

too many gringos have given gringos a bad name for them to be able to really impress a sexy latina...

hell i'm not even working right now - dont have a job and that tells me she's not with me cause she thinks i'm money bags gringo...she's with me right now cause of the other things i can and do for her...

so snap to gringos if you want a hot blooded latina that will blow your socks off- do yourself a favor and learn how to blow her socks off on the dance floor, in her ear with lovely spanish words and phrases and expressions and in the bed...

otherwise- whats the point?

i believe you will never truly open up a latina to what she has to offer unless you do these things
