a few books that should be read

the longer I live in Cali colombia and the more info I gleen be it Caracol, RCN, City TV, Telepacifico etc etc, whatever, Its reminds me of an old song,...........There are more questions than answers........................., I've tried to educate myself through listening to the media and reading books, howevere once again the more I learn the more confusing it gets , COLOMBIA is many colombias, 3rd most diverse country in the world, the size of france and spain combined, 5 frontiers,......... Ive read these books and arrogantly thought I know colombia, .. do I fuck.........., Killing peace, Colombia a brutal history, more terrible than death, and many about the spanish invasion and the bolivar liberation, entonces , Deportivo o America, green o red

and of course all of Gabbies

Right: there are a lot things to know about Colombia even for Colombians travelers and great readers. Elmo would use some words in Costa region that I don't know what is that (I'm not talking about his burra or his pretty girls ha).
Do you ever read "La bruja" from German Castro Caicedo (translation: something like "The witch"); The book of Antonio Caballero that contain a lot of his posts in Semana. Excellent.
Yes, of course that Alfredo Molano could write. Dont forget the optimistic writers!

so my point now is do people realy come to colombia to search for HD tv, the best program i've seen is all around us every day and its live and free

robi666 says on Feb 28, 2008, 17:47:

I'd add to the list
"Las Prepagos" and "El hijo del Ajedrecista", which are sadly being put out of commerce.

I thought " El hijo del Ajedresista" was very poorly written (trash). The latest I have read is an excellent book: "The kite Runner".

BUT MY POINT IS SWITCH THE TV OFF AND READ A BOOK

robi666 says on Feb 28, 2008, 18:37:

that part is easy: use your remote control.

the next part is hard, use your brain via your eyes

robi666 says on Feb 28, 2008, 18:42:

Yes, especially after four of five Club Colombia.

I completely agree, and very well said at that! Especially while in Colombia. With the exception of futbol (EPL) and Nada Mas que La Verdad ;). Actually, I don't even have a TV in Canada, my only form of screen entertainment is free online footie (can't miss my manchester) and this website!

"BUT MY POINT IS SWITCH THE TV OFF AND READ A BOOK"
Or... pick up a guitar or sit down at some keys.

But... la campina is absoltuely correct! bravo

la campiña says on Feb 28, 2008, 22:30:

thankyou from cali, Its good to know there are real people out there, BUT
ASTON VILLA there's only one aston villa,, hahajeje.

manINred says on Feb 28, 2008, 22:40:

ahh of course, Villa are my second favourite at the moment because of all the young English players right now, exciting young team, better than most this year, good football. Then probably Tottenham, and the rest can go to rot.

The simpler one's pleasures, the better quality of life. No microwaves for me thanks, and no HD tv in Colombia
