And if anyone could explain how to integrate the pictures straight into the post, then I would happily do so!

Get a free membership with a site like www.photobucket.com, upload your fotos there, copy the third line of code that will next to your foto there, and paste that code here.

sloopskipper says on Apr 29, 2008, 12:41:

Sorry i see you already have a service. Look for instructions to "embed" fotos.

I gave a quick look at your site, and did not see "foto sharing", but I uploaded your first pic to photobucket:

Photobucket

If you use photobucket, click on the line of code that begins with HTML, then paste it here in "your comment". But there are several other free sites that do the same thing, for fotos and videos.

You can also go to tinypic.com, down load, copy and paste, BUT make sure you remove the first < enclosure and the last > enclosure in the address/url of the pic. (It will make more sense after you see the address)

Hope I explained this accurately or this helped? Maybe another poster can describe it better ;)

Sure thing. It took me a bit of pokin' around to find a solution, and I have been working with computers and imaging for a VERY long time, trust me. jaja.

Nice pictures, that is Bogotá, with paisanos from all over the Country, Ciclovia, etc

But, I'm going to start making some assumptions here.... Which means I might actually end up making an ass out of myself ..........Thu 04 17, 2008 11:34 am

I love them. Especially the one of the little girl skating with her dad.

The dude with the nut huggers walking hand in hand with his gf... not so much.

That is strange webmanco, but "paisano" was a word I have been searching for, for a few days. There were a couple discussions about "Indians" in the Americas and if indiginous people are offended by that term in other countries, as they are Perú and the U.S.

It was suggested to me in Perú that simply campesino or paisano were acceptable. I remembered that I thought that the word sounded like the Italian, but could not think of it.

sloopskipper says on Apr 29, 2008, 13:35:

I think he wanted to learn how to do that for himself.

webmanco says on Apr 29, 2008, 13:35:

For me Paisano is Homeboy.

My Latin American Diccionario says compatriot, peasant, or civilian, but they don't give any country breakdowns, and nothing of Indiginous.

I always thought in Italian was simply friend, but maybe is more.

I also have a LatAm "street spanish" dictionary, that does break down much vulgar slang by country, LOL.

Mononoke28 says on Apr 29, 2008, 13:41:

Paisano means "from the same country, city, village".

Diana

sloopskipper says on Apr 29, 2008, 13:43:

Probably also in Italian. I can remember hearing the usage now.

And I saw countrymen another place.

sloopskipper says on Apr 29, 2008, 13:46:

I almost forgot to say they are nice fotos, leeroy.

Mononoke28 says on Apr 29, 2008, 13:48:

Yeah, the Italians use it as well. But then again, Spanish and Italian are kind of similiar.

Thank you for the photos! Heading back to Colombia in late July or early August. Unfortunately I have left knee replacement scheduled for May 28. After rehab, I will be ready to go back to beautiful Colombia for some R and R.
