It seemed for some reason that he studdered the English language a bit. I have heard alot of comments of how dangerous Colombia is. Well Pres Uribe said that Bogota was the 2nd safest city in the continent. If that means anything.

I believe the Harvard and Oxford portions of his resume were the subject of a recent media story. The gist of the story was that the references are puffery - one of the programs listed on his resume doesn't even exist at Harvard. He's a very smart man and I have no doubt that he could have attended and graduated from those institutions, but it's inaccurate to say that he did, at least in the commonly understood sense.

I wanted access to health care, housing and education, but, no, I get potholes, trash and silicone tits instead. -Desi.

Yea, I understand that in his native language he is eloquent. He seemed more comfortable when he was, as it looked like he was going to answer in Spanish. Then he caught himself. Guess it's only natural. Yes, he was dancing around the question, with his 3 main reasons. Did you get that where he would say nothing bad about Chavez. Probably a good thing that the dude asking questions did'nt try pushing him into a corner on some of his questions. It seems that as the President of Colombia, he has to do alot of dancing around. Don't want to piss anybody off. Really don't blame him. He is in a tough posistion. You get alot of people on PBH that belittle him. I wonder what their answers would be to some of those questions that the Moderator was asking. Would be interesting.

I was surprised at how much stuttering he did to-his BBC interviews had none of that-maybe he was in too much of a hurry mentally and then got nervous-it happens.

"Did you get that where he would say nothing bad about Chavez."

Lately the whole Colombian Govt has had a 'Top Down' policy of *never* saying anything bad about Chavez or Venezuela.
It makes good sense because the two countries were good friends/neighbours long before anyone ever heard of Chavez and hope to remain so after he's gone.

"Probably a good thing that the dude asking questions didn't try pushing him into a corner on some of his questions. It seems that as the President of Colombia, he has to do a lot of dancing around. Don't want to piss anybody off. Really don't blame him. He is in a tough position."

Well said I quite agree.

"You get alot of people on PBH that belittle him. I wonder what their answers would be to some of those questions that the Moderator was asking. Would be interesting."

There are some *seriously* small minded people here, sad disillusioned followers of long discredited political fads, chronic complainers, pinheads of various and sundry varieties.
By their ridiculous inanities ye shall know them.
