i can vouch for lebanon's dangers...........once, years back, while staying at the phoenicia...i left to go to damascus for the day, or possibly more. it was during the october war and there was fighting in the golan and everything was crazy. well i didn't get into syria...long story....but when i got back to beyrout, the phoenicia had been bombed. glad i was absent.
