First thing, you need to make clear the order of what is best/worst relative to the numbers.

I can rank 10 women from 1 to 10. Who is best? #1 or #10? Is the highest city rank the safest or the one most dangerous?

Thank you. Interesting charts.

It appears the first 2 are weighted percentages also. Bogota is one of the BEST at 25, yet saw nearly the same homicides as Cali, #4.
I'm glad to see Valledupar improve so much..

Whats goin on in Peirera? Why so high there? I would have expected that all the paisa cities would have much less crime rates. Any insights on that?

Scary

Cali is more dangerous for murders than Maracaibo Venezuela. /(1300 vs 900 for same population)

I think I better stop the trips to the Discos in El Centro.

I´ll not be retiring in Cali

A more efective way too publish is rate per 100,000 population.

Looking at it this way, from murder perspective, Bogota is significantly safer than all other cities, including Cartagena, which is really a moderately (not extremely) safer than Cali , a city 2-.5 the size.

Now compare it to Phoenix Arizona and I bet you will find some very interesting results
