1st time Flower Festival visitor any tips

I need some tips on what hot spots to go to during the Festival in August. I'll be in Itagui so I need to know about any good tourist attractions in Medellin. Clubs and bars also. Somebody please give advise it will be really appreciated. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get back. I really am looking forward for this trip.

Medellin If you are visiting Medellin, I would suggest Parque Lleras for nightlife. In this part of town you will find vibrant restaurants, bars and nightclubs buzzing with beautiful people on the weekends. There is another famous nightlub called Mango's. It is supposed to be huge and very popular, however I did not have a chance to visit it.

There are lots of great museums in the centro including several parks with public displays of art including works by Botero.

If you have time, and have a sense of adventure, I would suggest paragliding. The San Pedro area which is nearby to Medellin is internationally know for paragliding. It is a 30 minute drive from Medellin, and you can easily arrange a tandem flight with an experienced pilot for about US$25. I did it in April and had an amazing time.
