Congrats and thanks Peter. Keep up the good work.

jonas says on Apr 3, 2008, 10:10:

PBH is a dangerous drug and there are so many junkies who are terribly addicted to it and no programs offering any help. Peter is an extremely irresponsible computer program and probably linked to the agency. kat1´s children have filed a complaint that her mami spends more time on PBH than taking them to the rainy outdoors.

What I have, I do not want to lose, but Where I am I do not want to stay, but those I love, I do not want to leave, but those I know I no longer want to see, but Where I die, I do not want to go;I want to stay where I have never been

Mr. Hollywood says on Apr 3, 2008, 10:10:

Wow, that's a long time. Think of the events that have occurred in Colombia over those 10 years.

Thanks Peter.

kat1 (Moderator) says on Apr 3, 2008, 10:15:

jonas my kids are going to sued Peter when they grow up hehe or given them another five years and maybe they will be the new generation of PBH heheh

he called us the "go go team" because we always came to the defence of Colombia heheh

Everyday I am more confuse than the day before, thanks PBH :-)

But it is better to be confuse than thinking you are right when you are wrong.

But, I'm going to start making some assumptions here.... Which means I might actually end up making an ass out of myself ..........Thu 04 17, 2008 11:34 am

I talked to P.E.T.E.R. once, but he sounded very strange and lethargic and seemed to be struggling to remember the words to an old song, something like:

"Daaaisy... Daaaaisy.............. give me your answer.....................do....... I'm half craaazy............................."

I did learn a lot of stuff about Colombia here, i know I am Colombia but people here have been in Places in Colombia i have never been or though it was too dangerous or not to interesting . but they made me change my mind.

is the art of belching

ColombianoGringo says on Apr 3, 2008, 16:05:

Maybe we should have a PBH Anniversary belching contest. Prizes could be awarded for length, decibel level and of course.... bouquet. Special recognition for achievement would go to those who can belch the entire alphabet.

bamacellist says on Apr 3, 2008, 16:08:

kat couldn't bring herself to say "bump" like everyone else. Costeños are generally known for being ostentatious. Does "weather permitting" mean it will never happen?

adrimm says on Apr 3, 2008, 20:20:

I don't remember what month is was but I remember reading that first way back when in 1998 (I thought it was the end of 1997) and being fascinated.

There was no forum or registrations... pbh was just Peter. It was one landscaped sort of a page with links in columns along the bottom, there was a picture of a woman (betty la fea?) in the corner... It was great.

Peter would write about the house he lived in, housemates, weekend activities, what ot was like finding students, etc.

I visited sporadically over the years and then signed up in 2004 or 05.

Man Tequila says on Apr 3, 2008, 20:27:

P.E.T.E.R.exe has decided not to officially change the site motto to "We will assimilate you". Executive spokesman Olivier "Cheesy Paws" Macaque explains. "It might scare people if we stated our mission so frankly. And frightened people don't do such a good job of working in the banana mines."

adrimm says on Apr 3, 2008, 20:35:

How about "resistance is futile"..

Peter (Moderator) says on Apr 3, 2008, 21:32:

Well, let's be honest, resistance *is* futile.

I started the site in october 1998, so we should have a big party in October!

Poor but snappy

kat1 (Moderator) says on Apr 4, 2008, 01:33:

we should have a pbh parties all around the world and post pictures of how the members celebrated the anniversary.

Desi and me nos... "quedaremos comiendo pavo, heheheh" any other members from Wales, Sweden? if not, nos tocara celebrar como los despechados.........solas

Basmaceli, I couldn't resist changing bump for burp hehehe

Brians says on Apr 4, 2008, 03:59:

Peter I started coming here in 2005. So not as old as some like kat1 but I have met some great people on this site. The funny thing is I was at my wife's baby shower and my wife's best friend on this site is the wife of another PBHer I met here in Philadelphia. At the shower I had just returned from Colombia where I met up with a few other PBHers. Anyway my aunt (73 years old) was asking me how I met all these different people. I was explaining the different ways which basically all came back to the interent. So my uncle looks at me and in a straight face says "So basically you are meeting a lot of men in Interent Chat rooms?". The way it was said I almost spit out my beer:)

bamacellist says on Apr 4, 2008, 04:39:

Brians that is too funny! I'm reading this at 6:30 AM and have woken up my neighbors.

kat1 (Moderator) says on Apr 4, 2008, 06:57:

I have met quite few interesting people including DESI. I encouraged one of them to go to Colombia he went, fell in love with my sister in law sister, got married and now they are living here in the UK.
also i meet here another guy who was looking for his biological parents, he went to Colombia and stayed at my parent's house he really enjoyed and is planing to go back at the end of this year and maybe buying a property there.

I have met one person from PBH, and it was great. There are a few others I also hope to meet in the future. I dearly wish get-togethers were more possible as I am sure it would be a fascinating group, and probably much more diverse than what I usually live in.

Yes, resistance _is_ futile and I am enjoying it.
