MONPIRRI’S Recommendations:
There are hundreds of great Colombian restaurants in Colombia but I do not live there and I did not have plenty of time to visit couple more places, since I only had two weeks, but I highly recommend you to visit Club Colombia if you enjoy Colombian food and of course follow the advice of the locals when visiting typical and fine restaurants:

I was told also to visit in Bogotá:
Sopas de Mama y Postres de la Abuela
Casa Vieja
And La Tronquera (Lugar de carne asada) on 195-196 con la Autopista
And if you are planning to visit los Llanos follow Lily03’ advice go to La Talanquera. Locals know better!

My thumbnail review of three:

Donostia: Good food and great downtown setting. See and be seen lunch spot for Colombia's political elite. Expensive.

Criterion: Really nice food and setting. Expensive.

Matiz: They must be kidding. The food there is a joke and WAY overpriced.

Mr. Hollywood,
It's good to know that you have experienced the food and service of Donostia, Criterion and Matiz.

More restaurants coming soon!

Welcome back Monpi!. como te fue?
I KNOW THE BEST RESTAURANT IN SAN ANDRES: "DONDE FRANCHESCA" the best sea food you will ever have!!!. I have been to many counties in my life, but this food is one of the best I have ever had!. The restaurant is ON the beach, in the beaches of "San Luis" las playas de San Luis/ San Andres, Colombia.

Vive la vida y deja vivir!.

That's a great list! We should all contribute and make a PBH Restaurant Guide, so that we can all refer back to it.

"Donde Frachesca" the food is made to order, and she gets `pulpo` and many differnt kinds of fish delivered by plane form the pacific, she is a cook, and has won awards, and been all over the world in cooking seminars. I guarantee you, that you will be amazed with that food, and I am not an eater, I don`t care for food so much, but there I was like WOW!.

Vive la vida y deja vivir!.

Unless La Ballena Azul has changed in the last few years it's really nothing special. Great location, though.

The crepe place across the street is actually better.

GS,
These reviews are done periodically or monthly, I'm assuming Cromos did 14 for the month of August.
As you know there are hundreds of good restaurants that something do not make it to a list becuase of politican reasons or otherwise. For instance, your restaurant, the one in Monserrate or mine did not make it to the August list.

I've eaten at Mondongo's-it was awful/bad beyond belief/a joke/ a mess and completely substandard.

I'd never recommend it to anyone I'd want to speak to again.

Surprised Harry Sasson(SP) wasn't on the list? I thought I saw it on Conde' Nast's list of top 100 in the world.

Here's the short article:

Chef Harry Sasson

Some of the worst-prepared meals I've ever had in an expensive restaurant have been at Harry Sasson's. It's a beautiful restaurant but I've had meals that tasted like the chef dumped a whole box of salt on my plate. And others where the seafood was cook so hard that it was like rubber.

So many better options within a stone's throw of Harry S.

One of my favorite dish was, "muelas de cangrejo" OMG!, I thought I was going to have to brake the dam things, no, they come without the shell, you slice them in you mouth, and what a bite!, I was so full already from eating, pulpo, sufle de pescado, parvo rojo, salad, arroz con coco, it was a fist, we went there 3 times!.

Vive la vida y deja vivir!.
