MONPIRRI’S Recommendations:
There are hundreds of great Colombian restaurants in Colombia but I do not live there and I did not have plenty of time to visit couple more places, since I only had two weeks, but I highly recommend you to visit Club Colombia if you enjoy Colombian food and of course follow the advice of the locals when visiting typical and fine restaurants:
I was told also to visit in Bogotá:
Sopas de Mama y Postres de la Abuela
Casa Vieja
And La Tronquera (Lugar de carne asada) on 195-196 con la Autopista
And if you are planning to visit los Llanos follow Lily03’ advice go to La Talanquera. Locals know better!

Lisa Zee says on Sep 10, 2007, 17:37: "Donde Frachesca" the food is made to order, and she gets `pulpo` and many differnt kinds of fish delivered by plane form the pacific, she is a cook, and has won awards, and been all over the world in cooking seminars. I guarantee you, that you will be amazed with that food, and I am not an eater, I don`t care for food so much, but there I was like WOW!. Vive la vida y deja vivir!. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Mr. Hollywood says on Sep 11, 2007, 19:43: Some of the worst-prepared meals I've ever had in an expensive restaurant have been at Harry Sasson's. It's a beautiful restaurant but I've had meals that tasted like the chef dumped a whole box of salt on my plate. And others where the seafood was cook so hard that it was like rubber.
