The only thing I heard was that the hospitals were full - a flu epidemic. Please note, this was by word of mouth from a person physically in Medellin. I did not read anything news worthy. I think he commented on deaths (not 100% sure).

It probably was on the local news... today an article in Semana Magazine talks about 12 murders in two days last week. It still comes off as fearmongering talk about the return of so-called bad times: ".. ¿Vuelve la horrible noche?
