CLALORENA comments on Pereira. Pereira Hey!! I am from Pereira and I live in England but i can tell you that Pereira is a lovely and developed city that is getting big and big day by day. There are different hotels, if you want to stay in the center you will find a very nice hotel called THE BOLIVAR HOTEL is situated in one of the famous square called la PLAZA DE BOLIVAR. To go out at night time there are various places like clubs, one of the good ones at the moment is MANGO BICHE, is located en la BADEA, you will find more bars an clubs in that avenue. There are also nice bars between the country side and the city, there are some on the way out to Armenia from Pereira. I love that area. I have lost of friends in Colombia, and they speak English, so they would like to meet people from England just to practice their English, and to be honest i really like their culture even my relationship with the English guy didnt work out, but as friends they are quite cool, of course i wont be going out with them all the time, only once or so. I just said the it will be nice to share their experience of being in Colombia. Any way, I'll make sure i'll have a good time with my family and my old friends, i'll be thinking of you and i'l try to send some pictures from the lovely landscapes in my city.

CLALORENA comments on preaching Don Negro I dont agree with those who are talking about the Pope's death as it was anyone, Don Negro i you are not Catholic it's ok, but you should respect our religion as you wouldn't want whatever your religions is to be criticised, i think we all believe in the same God the only diference is that we do it in a different way. The Pope was a good man and help a los of people that's way 70% in the world are crying his dead.

CLALORENA comments on Going To Pereira Pereira Hi Tibb dont pay any attention on people who said those things about women from Pereira, is just rubbish. I am from Pereira and i am not deaft, what they mean with that is that we are fufas(tarts), but i think you find this any where in the world, we are not all the same is like here people say that English girls are very bad, you know they like getting drunk and sometimes going off with men, but no all of them are like that. In Pereira there are lost of shopping Centers that you can visit, and you con go to "Los Termales de Santa Rosa" it's amazing, there are like swimming pools with hot water coming from the mountains, they say is good for you, specially if you are stressed or suffer from bones pain, parque del Café is another good place and if you want to go on the dance, go to La Bade en Dosquebradas which is where you find all the good Clubs and the you can have a wonderful view from there, you can see all the city. Have a lovely time and enjoy yourself.

Hello Addy, I don't know a lot about this but one of my friends had the same problem like your girlfriend and her husband flew to Colombia and got married there i think 20 days late and he stayed there for 3 months until she got her visa for 2 years, he is British and they went together to British Embassy in Bogotá and applied for her visa, they had an interview for about 1 hour and then she got the stam, which is like i said before a visa for two years with a work permit, that means she will be able to work full time or run bussines and travel any where of course applying for visas to some countries. After two years she can apply for her residence but proving that you have been living together since you got married.

Mrs Gomez, I wish you all the best and good luck, I know you are going to have a marvellous time and I hope your kids like it too, the world will be different for them, but im sure they will love it, as my cousin took his kids for the first time to Cali last Christmas after 13 years and they didnt want to come back, they were just talking about theirs friends of the cuadra or "del barrio". Do as much as you can, make the best of it and take lots of pictures and share them with us. I am exciting too as i'l be going to Pereira soon. Lorena xx

CLALORENA comments on Going to Colombia in 10 days and REALLY want to please my man making your man happy I suggest you can wear something nice and a little bit elegant, make up will be good, if you are taking gift to his family I think they will apreciate if you take some sourvenior from London, sweets and Perfumes. To make your man happy treat him really well like you would like to be treated, call him not by his name, you can say CARINO, MI AMOR, or CORAZON.Always smile and be polite. Try to be easy going and get on well with the family, sometimes it's dificult because you dont know what to expect from them, partners parents in Colombia sometimes show you two faces, I hope they dont. CLALORENA comments on First time to Colombia - Pereira Hola Renita, I think you can get a very cheap flights for $300 pesos return, otherwise you can take a coach from the bus station in Botoga to Pereira, i might take about 9 hours and you will be arriving to LA terminal. I recomend you if you go by bus to try no to flush out with your stuff or your money just in case, dont wear any gold jewellery. But I think the trip is safe. I am going to pereira too, at the end of April but i am flying London-Madrid-Bogota and then Pereira, I'll be staying for one month. How long are you gonna be there for??? maybe we can meet there. Pereira is a very good city to live as is not to hot and not to cold, the rumba starts from Thursday till Saturday, near the city there a lots of countrysides so beatiful, you can see the mountains, the rivers and feel the lovely fresh air. The people are very welcome. I wouldnt say is safety than other places in Colombia, I think it depends of you, how careful you are, and do not show off your stuff, as some people get jelous, but that happens all over the Country. Colombian community Hello Hunter, most of the Colombian comunity are based in between Elephant and Castle, Brixton and Camberwel also you find latinos in Islington and North London. There Colombian Clubs in Seven Sisters, Market and Restaurants. In the Shopping Center in Elephant and Castle you find every thing from Colombia, well almost. Hairdressers, dresmakers, shops, restaurants, the chance (raffles tickets with the lotery of Colombia). Medicine and some more. If you want to go to proper Colombian club, go to Chaney where the rumba is from 10pm until 6am every Saturdays is in Elephant and Castle, below Ministry of Salsa.

Congratulations on your papers, i got them too last week, and i am so excited, i have been only living in London for 4 years, but it feels like centuries. I am going to Pereira at the end of April.
