In Havana, your best "resolver" for a casa particular (Cuban equivalent of a Bed & Breakfast, there are no hostels in Cuba) is Pototo. Email: pototo1956 at yahoo.com.mx

He’s dependable, trustworthy, and makes a mean mojito on his balcony.

If you’re getting off the resort you MUST buy a Lonely Planet or Moon travel guide. They’re great references.

As for what to do in Havana… that’s kind of like saying, what to do in Bogotá… everything!
