Best city to take family for a week

I know it is early but I am looking at taking the family(wife, 16 & 11 year olds)to Colombia for sping break in 2009(early April) I have been to Bogota and Medellin and will be in Cartegena in November. Want to decide on a location soon so I can keep an eye on airfare promotions. Just not sure which would be the best for a family. Just wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions. Got back Friday after a quick 3 day trip to Medellin. Should have been back Thursday but problems with Aero Republica(breakdown) Although all I heard were positive comments on Medellin before I left(from people who had actually been there)I was still a little concerned. Medellin Hotel -the Mansion

Have gotten several recommendations directly about hotels in Medellin. One of them seems to be a bit different. An email recommended the Medellin Mansion, was able to find 2 reviews that said it was in a good location and nice rooms. But.... Need some advice, have been looking at property(apartment) in Panama City however before I take the plunge I would like to check out Medellin, I have been to Bogota and really enjoyed the city, however the climate is a little cool for my tastes. I have been talking with a Colombian woman here in Florida about a finca she has for sale outside of Bogota, I believe it is about 60kms but not sure of the direction, it is outside of the town of Mesitas del Colegio.

Got back last night from a short trip to Bogota.
Had heard good things about Colombia from business associates in Panama decided to check it out for myself.

Very good trip, friendly people, impressed with Bogota, really did not know what to expect, stayed close to Zona Rosa, one night at Hotel Charlotte, one night Embassy Suites(needed a quieter hotel).

I will be in Bogota for 2 nights in Feb.
I have been all over Central America including numerous trips to Panama for business and vacation but have never been to Columbia.

A few questions:
Best place to stay in Bogota under $100?
I understand Zona Rosa is where many of the restaurants and clubs are.

Good bar for drinks, music and pretty girls(women). I should state though that I am in my forties so clubs that get hopping at 2am are a little late ...
