CCHICKG comments on Need help! Try to search but didn't see what I was asking for. Thank you so much! The stuff I did read pertained to young people coming. So I am wondering if its different for someone who is older and has her whole family. Kids, grandkids. My family just wants her to come because she is the only one left on my moms side of the family and they want to see her. Like a little family re-union with their mothers sister!!! I will look at that link too! Thank you so much!!!

CCHICKG comments on I just have a quick question!! oh and how much do they usually cost?? The reason I ask is because my brother is always asking for money for something or another and I kind of get sick of sending money to him so I am wondering what the price generally is to see if he is not scamming me. Sounds sad huh!

CCHICKG comments on Hygiene in Colombia can I get the record straight Food I agree with the london guy because until right now I did not know the food gets bacteria. I am Colombian and when I cook I just leave the food on the stove and whoever wants it eats when they want to unless its a family dinner then we all eat together but In my house no one is ever on the same schedule with school, work, and activities. For example my sister is in school all day and then I go to work when she gets home. My mom is never here and my sister in law is here all day. I dont think this is something to get mad about just good to know. Luckily I have never ended up sick. But one thing I dont do is left overs I think that is disgusting in my view that is why I never put anything in the refrigerator.

CCHICKG comments on Okay One Question about Colombia please try to help Yes the US wants a similar system where you can decide either to go with the traditional system or you can take a portion of your SSI and invest in the stock market. You dont have to do that if you dont want to but that money can not be used before retirement. You can earn more money sometimes if you invest correctly but other times you might lose depending on the stock market. Its sounds good but i am not sure if it will work.

CCHICKG comments on Shipping companies I am sending a box with clothes. Its probably weighs between 70-100 pounds but I am not sure exactly how much. I have looked at Fedex and UPS but they cost about $1000.000 I also found a Colombian Restaurant but they charge 2.50 per pound and even though that is not that bad I am worried that it will not be very safe and secure.

CCHICKG comments on I am planning on moving to Colombia thank you we tried contacting lulac and also telemundo ran a story on him here locally but that has not worked so far. But I will try that one next. Next week he has a meeting which will let him know if he can fight it or not. We will see what happens but i am going to contact that organization and maybe they can try to help. I really appreciate it.

CCHICKG comments on U.S. Involvement in Colombia President Bush I am glad that president Bush is going to try and help Colombia in any way that he can. Colombia should be happy to have President Bush on there side. I mean I dont think he should invade Colombia or anything but do something to help us.

CCHICKG comments on I am planning on moving to Colombia Well that is what our family has a problem with. He was 17 years old never been in trouble in school, with the police, or any where else. All his friends were let go the same night but they were all white my brother is still trying to fight his case. We have had 3 different lawyers but they have all turned out to be bad lawyers who all they wanted was money. He did not have any drugs or any weapons. He did not hurt anyone but they still have him in custody. He is more American then Colombian but they don't understand that I guess. Not only are they making my family suffer but his family. He was not even able to see his son be born. And his son is missing out on a relationship with his daddy. I am sure the US government has a reason for their laws but sometimes they are very extreme. Especially since I live in Texas and texas has some crazy extreme laws. I am just hoping for the best for my brother but that is all I can do because his case is still up in the air.

CCHICKG comments on I am planning on moving to Colombia I do have a legal status but I am not allowed to leave the US for a certain amount of time so if I leave when things happen for my brother. I would lose the residency I know have. That is why I am looking at there kind of websites to see if it would be worth all of that or not. I live a pretty good life here. I mean I make enough to pay the bills, go out and have fun, and even save a little but I am no where near rich or anything like that. My brother has live in the US since he was 3 years old and I don't want him to suffer in a country where he does not even speak the language. As far as what he did well first let me say we live in "Texas" which has very strict laws but he got in trouble with his friends for being out drinking in a public place at the age of 17 and when the police took him in they sent him to a county jail and after that he was transfered into immigration custody and has been there ever since. He has being trying to fight it but has not won so far he has been there 3 years and counting. He just barely turned 20.
