cazadorez comments on In case you hadn't noticed, Mexico's in ugly drug war

Yes this is a complex situation that our border friend is encountering. Unfortunatly Americans have a need and desire for drugs so the buisness is good for Mexico to smuggle and bring it to us thru the border. The issue at hand is different Mafia Cartels are fighting for the power and territories of land to control and tax. Both governments are involved and have there hands dirty in this mess. Once a Cartel wins, the killings will be over and swept under the rug like nothing happened and back to normal buisiness like the past decade. Its a Trillion dollar dirty business!

cazadorez comments on Mexico vs. Colombia -- Need advice

Well I think both places are good locations, but if your looking for Beach activities I would definetley go to Mexico. But, do not go to Cancun,Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, or Cabo if you are on a budget and are not looking for touristy places. You need to go to Virgin Beaches like in Ixtapa which is in the state of Guerrero or Veracruz on the gulf/carribean side or even puerto escondido in Oaxaca and many in the state of Chiapas. These are off the touristy list and are very beautiful locations with easy access to ancient pyramids. With a budget of 2,000 a month you can go very far and live very comfortable. Flights are easy in and out from a close major city in Mexico to the same in California, you will have to bus shuttle out. I have been to almost all the major cities in colombia, but for beach locations only Cartagena and Baranquilla which are several hours away from each other and I was not very impressed. Which ever one you pick...good luck to you and have fun!

cazadorez comments on 2-3 bedroom furnished apartments with internet in Poblado - Medellin

WOW very expensive......These are rates I would not pay in South Beach Florida...unreal!

cazadorez comments on Visa options - Business route....and how can I open a bank account

SO let me get this right....can you get the investor visa before you purchase or do you get it after you purchase or invest in something over 100K. Sounds a bit scary if you get it after the fact. Would not want to pay over 100K and not have any formal documentation that you can stay in that country????

cazadorez comments on What can I expect after being informed by USCIS that my packet is being sent?

What to expect If I am not mistaken when your at the point when you pay $380.00 is when you are waiting for a apointment with the nearest USA consulate abroad in Colombia to get a visa established, and your case was already approved in the USA. As far as who it is sent to it depends on who you put on the form to get the documents. There was a form your wife had to sign approving you as the agent etc. If thats the case you will get it in the mail. If not, she should get it. That is why on the form it says its important to put a valid and good address. Hopefully that helps
