CatGirl comments on Is a WILL written outside of Colombia legal? Esteban - clarification - this would only be applicable if the person creating the will has property in Colombia and/or someone in Colombia that is listed as a beneficiary? Correct?

CatGirl comments on Hostage Release Either the picture that we are getting via media is warped and we are all missing many peices to a convoluted puzzle and/or Hugo is a loose cannon....it appears he definitely enjoys dancing to the beat of his own drum. Does he do this type of stuff for the self imposed glory or is he just all over the map? His behavior is very irratic - When I read the media accounts of him - it is like he just wakes up every day looking for moving targets and shoots from the hip. If there is any truth to this type of leadership style - it is only effective for one person...egocentric. It is hard for me to tell if he behaves this way because "he can" or because he is intentionally compartmentalized from his peers.....(cause he's so wacked?). If Hugo is doing this simply because "he can".... is this behavior a distraction from something else yet to be revealed (even to wacko?)......

CatGirl comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos Desi - I completely agree 100%. There comes a point in every persons life where independence and maintaining individual self becomes a luxury and a proud asset after a certain point. I am sure the dynamics of every family is unique to itself. There are many cultures that "take care" and house their elders. Many times I find these folks pushed in the back or simply left to be just a mere shadow in the room or house. Not all people are good at taking care of other people and meeting their needs BTW. I respect family members that recognize this and take the necessary steps to ensure their loved ones are cared for appropriately (preferrably in the home if possible) I feel the issue is Respect of the person and respect of what they have accomplished. Many times you see the younger generation miss out on much because of this. My 100 year old grandfather stayed at home until his last days...but my brother's never felt any interest in learning anything from him or take steps to find out his interests. How do you think it would feel when all your friends have died and you are 99 years old, with no one to relate to? Pretty isolated, eh? I would cherish his stories...even if he was a difficult personality, he was in WW2 and had many accomplishments and won many awards in his life. Oh well...that's all I guess

CatGirl comments on FLAG BUTTON - HELP! MT ' does not work if the OP does not comment in the thread ' if the issue is the post. Even if they did respond ' if it was an appropriate response, makes not sense to flag it. The idea is to flag inappropriate things.... either way ' thanks WS ' you are on a roll tonight.

CatGirl comments on Gringo Shooting Followup AnonÑ Sorry to hear you have problems. If you are really a native Colombian, maybe you should participate or call people on their mishaps. Otherwise, I think even the information you put in this post is questionable.

CatGirl comments on to live in Colombia ? Now that I think about it.maybe a better term for it is an Atrium...but I always picture Atriums with high ceilings. These rooms I saw did not have high ceilings...

CatGirl comments on to live in Colombia ? BB "I undertsand it to be a room enclosed in glass so as to let the sun in." Yes, this is closer to what I meant..not a tanning booth jajaja What I saw were indoor pics with large rooms (door to outside/farm) predominantly glass with plants indoors. These were usually placed in the part of the house with more shade from trees etc..so your view was fairly full of foliage. These were not like atypical tiny room - pretty large. and long I thought - wow - nice!! As I am sure there could be days that going outdoors might be too hot? You can sit indoors in the shade? I don;t know... Either way, just curious if it was commonly seen. Kind of like how every house built in Los Angeles pretty much had a pool at one time. So I take it, no is the answer and if you see something like that it is an exception ;)) Thanks ;))

CatGirl comments on can love be created Tb - "tomorrow you meet a guy you really like and you cant just quickly stop seeing this male friends as they are part of your life it could create problems that is all" I still don't get what yo are implying....your comment almost appears as if you have visions of daily or weekly visits or something - not the case. I have long time friends. Sorry you are making assumptions instead of clarifying comments...I do not "see" my male friends OK? Maybe help out with ideas or little things everyone in a blue moon....So it is not and never has been an issue.

CatGirl comments on to live in Colombia ? Desi "Solariums? Why? Many of the pics I have seen of homes (not townhomes) in the "Countryside" have nice property views. Some had something similar to Solariums. Only curious if it was typically in included in the initial homes or something that is added on later - that's all

CatGirl comments on Scottys story TB - nice affirmation. It is true too, as the mind is part of the body ;))

CatGirl comments on can love be created TB; I get the feeling either you are not reading my comments or you are into your own conversation? If the latter is true, just get to the point - otherwise I will re-paste my past comment. "Opposite sex friends when you are in relationships? Well, depends on what the dynamic is - but I think a person needs to be respectful of their mate and not allow their opposite sex friendship cause problems. In fact, I would back off from the friendship if it caused probelms with my mate...but that is just me " either way - i agree with you ...I guess you are powow? huh? Ok -

CatGirl comments on "Jeffs" Polygamists Sect Members in Canada Receive Pressure jajaja...slygy! good humor. Yeah the Jeh Wit are quite interesting folks but their ability to hold onto and control their members is not as strong as Mormons. I lost a good gf to the Jehovah's Wtnesses ;((. She was your average wild gal until they got hold of her. Then she tried to convert me by having me meet up with her and one of her elders, who went on and on about their beliefs and how I had better get ready (long time ago). There was one thing that made absolutely no sense to me that pretty much turned me off (in addition to the compartmentaizing)...her sponsor said that everyone that has died already up to the date of the "Big Judgement" is forgiven - period - simply because they died before the big day (I guess the chosen ones) etc... I asked "Even molesters, liars, murderers etc..?" She said "yes" I said "well, heck - then you might as well commit sucide then you are guaranteed a spot" she said "Oh - no! you can't do that, that's a sin!" ...Hmmm I querried 'So what about the folks that committed suicide in the past?" ...she sad 'Oh that's different, they are forgiven"......hmmmmm So my gf called me the next day and asked me what I thought of the meeting and the message... she dropped the bomb and asked if I would join. I pretty much told her no and that I could not believe she could rationalize the crazy explanations. She told me since I would not convert - she could not longer see me ;((( Sad.

CatGirl comments on to live in Colombia ? Are Solariums in Colombian "country" homes typical? (I can see why not in the cities)

CatGirl comments on Cinépolis México Payless USA now in Bogotá Ooops! my bad - sorry I just noticed webman mention "shoes" in the OP
|
|
CatGirl comments on Cinépolis México Payless USA now in Bogotá Hmmm - Mononoke - When I get a chance I will check the article Webman added, but on the West Coast we used to have a Department Store Chain Called "Payless" - (I think it went out of business.) We do have "Payless Shoes" but if this store you are mentioning is Literally "Payless" it is different than the shoe stores here. More like a Shopping drug store like, Longs, Rite Aide ...(any others?)

CatGirl comments on Colombian High Profile Criminals and Witness Protection Sweetie - we posted at the same time ;)) jaja - No on your question.
|
|
|
CatGirl comments on Colombian High Profile Criminals and Witness Protection BTW - this story is really not what spurred the OP. It was simply an interjection. I have other reasons for these questions. ;))
|
|
CatGirl comments on Colombian High Profile Criminals and Witness Protection Yes, I could also see how this poor guy would have trouble keeping his business afloat. He was attempting to do business with Americans. After speaking with him....I had a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of anyone doing business with this guy. Again, as I commented in the begining, I can only give scant info on this forum. What was wierd ..was not the unusual way I was unknowingly tricked into this conversation nor the conversation itself - it was that conversation I had with my ex after this call that put up the red flags. As always, I will never know the truth, as many times things that appeared simple and calm were Not ... and things that appeared tangible were actual deceptive webs of "nothingness" Mr H - your comment "where there truly are so many weird things afoot and so much is played out below the surface." Hit the nail on the head....very well put.
