To Europeans: Well, Are still some you who think Las FARC and ELN are not terrorists? Are you people still going to support these murderers by selling t-shirts and giving them money? These terrorists don't have any arguments or ideology. Please, don't support them, they are killing, kidnapping, raping, selling drugs, blowing bombs, extorting our countrymen, our kids, our good people... How can we made you understand??? " Dear Jans, we've been sitting here for three days, waiting to shoot down a helicopter that sometimes flies over. I'm beginning to think that it'll never fly past.... That damn helicopter just won't fly over. It's so annoying. I've no idea how long we're supposed to wait for it."... After reading this, how can anyone say she is not a terrorist?? She was hoping to kill some human beings on that helicopter, her only concern was that the helicopter didn't pass quick enough and she was bored! so what, human rights don't apply to soldiers??

I know Colombia could be very dangerous, but it also can be safe if you avoid risky situations. I'm 25, I have lived in Cali all my life and let me tell you I have never been robbed or anything like that, and I have a regular life, as people my age, we go out to dance, to the movies, to have dinner, etc. But I don't put myself on dangerous situations, for instance, I avoid walking alone at night/Morning, I try not to visit dangerous nighborhoods at night, I go out with good people (not involved with drug dealers), etc... Well, I guess my point is that you can have a great life Colombia. Off course there is a danger, but name a city that doesn't have a dangerous places. On Rome people warned me about being robbed by Albanians, on Madrid people warned me about gypsys, on NY people told me to be very careful on the subway, etc... So if you have to be careful on other countries it is obvioues you have to be careful in Colombia, all you need is common sense. and I also agree with rubito: "Most "safe" places in the world are also BORING". and I would like to add that Colombia is a very exciting country to live on. Best,

Hi, I live in Cali. I've been In San Andres, and I think it is great only for vacations not for living. I agree with Lisa See, yes, indeed the beaches are beautiful, the people are great, but the island is too small, and yes it's poor. Personally, I can't stand being in San Andres more than a month; after the fisrt 5 days you have nothing new to see or to know. Abotu Pereira, well, it is a big town (smaller than Cali), the weather is great (not too hot, not to cold), and people are nice. but I don't know how it is to live there. The only thing I can tell you is that I think it is a better option than San Andres. So it is up to you... keep looking for the right place for you. Best Carol

Hye I live in Cali, and let me tell you the weather is crazy, sometimes rain when is a dry season and otherwise. Feb and March tend to be a little rainy, but not cold, but as I told you weather here is crazy. We don't have seasons like Europe, and most of the time we have a hot wheater... So don't worry, bring warm clothes, 1 sweater, and that is it... and if rains you can buy a very cheap umbrella...
