There is a Mexican Restaurant about 3-4 blocks back up the slope from the Hotel Intercontinental. Forgot the name. Giant amount of food for the price. Maybe calirentals can find out the name. Or double booking as the Airlines says is not the travelers fault. What ever happened to, (The Customer is always right?) Papi. That's the little extra type of info I like to see ! I will write it down. look and it and when I go in a couple months. I will know not to go there. I don't know about others here on PBH. I've been reading a Lonely Planet I got today in the mail. Yea I know. (Lonely Planet) There is not too much info about that area opposed to other parts of Colombia covered. But it do's have some good choice's of restaurants and some little hidden spot's that most people would miss. Lobster w/ coconut cream sauce. You don't like it, you don't pay. Las Velas is the name. Anybody been there? Anybody been to the French Restaurant Geoffreys? Or the Hotel Divanga it's located in. Might be worth a few drinks. Possible swim. Has a few other so called little Hidden Gems I will check out. Has a good map of all the beach's of Tayrona. I think I'm going to try that one. But by a boat. Screw that hiking! In the heat! Don't think do. Anybody do Tayrona by boat before? There was a post earlier this year about some guy who did it, but the post was deleted. Thanks. Chao!

But when looking for info, I filter as much as I can. Throw out the bullshit. Do what I feel is right, and comfortable with. If I did all my actions/reactions according to the info I get off PBH, I'd be lost. Nothing personal to anybody but that's how I am. I check out all angles. Like some of the threads i read about people having problems with Fidelity. Granted, It probably works for you. I'll probably look into it. Try it. And then I'll have another Option. 12/7-1/6 Thats what google says. Feria de Cali. Mostly around the week before X-mas thru New years. Things get really crowded. People everywhere. Lots of things happening. I believe you can google www.caliescali.com. Hard to get a cab. I like the lights up all along the River. Beautiful light show. Go down to Sexta. People everywhere spraying that damn cream, shaving lotion, whatever on everybody and everything. Including your car windows. In traffic a traffic jam. Your car is a sitting Duck. People drunk as Skunks. Party hearty. But watch your ass.

As with the hiiden fees. They all have them. Was reading a google on Fidelity. They say they have no fees. But as with any ATM. The bank or ATM might charge you a fee. But before they charge you. The little message has to come up on the screen asking if you want to proceed. Most people using Atm's are there for one reason. To get cash. So I would say 95% would say yes. Take out the fee. Then they get pissed about such a small amount charged to make money available. I believe they make a ton of money. It's probably one of those quantity, not quality gigs. Like I said before. You are gonna get screwed either way ya do it. Just need to figure out the cheapest/best way to do it. Which is most convenient. And how much you are willing to pay for the privilage of using an ATM. I would venture to say you should have at least 2-3 different ways to get money in Colombia. If not more. Just in case some chit happens. It's a friggin hassel but we all have to go thru it. I usually carry down with me say 1K in $20's & $50's. When that runs out I'm usually somewhere I'm going to be staying and have a plan on what I'm going to be spending, and what to say when I need money. Donde esta el ATM?

PCL: Well that's good news to know! I'll have to check it out. Like they say. Never too old for a Old Dog to learn a new trick. I know with the Capital One credit card they charge you $10 USD everytime you use the credit card at an ATM. I believe the Cap 1 Money Marhet account/Card they don't charge anything. (Could be wrong) I spoke with the lady at Cap 1. That's what she said. Going to try it this week. Will let you know what happens with the Capital One Money Market card transactions. Ikobo used to be good when in Atlanta. Then they moved their operation offshore. Somewhere in the Caribbean. My own bank charges me a small fee everytime it's used for an International usage. AS far as setting up a pin you can access. See if you can set up some type of security setting with the account. To set up access. Some type of security question. That only you, and the computer ever know.
