Hi I'm thinking of going there this fall. Being quite familliar with Cartagena, Santa Marta and Medellin, this would be first visit in that region, any toughts or suggestions?
Hi
I'm currently working on a business plan with some manufacturers... This would involve starting up a manufacturer's representative corporation in Colombia in order to cover South and Latin America.
I would like your input as to where the best place in Colombia would be between Bogota and Medellin:
Here's what I'm looking for:
1)easy access to an airport hub that covers well all Latin America.
2)high speed Internet acc ...
If anybody wants to meet up, let me know....
Just tought it'd be good to know.
Usual basic stuff:
stay on the coast or in major cities.
travel by air between major cities and or the coast.
call a taxi company, don't hail one on the streets.
Providencia (San Andres) is heavily damaged due to Beta Storm and still under repair so don't expect usual services at all times
Anyway, for those it might concern, it's always a good source of information.

Hi all!
Right now, Travelocity.ca seems to have a deal for a 2way ticket between Montreal and Cartagena. It's like $755 (with taxes) and usually it's very tough for me to get it under $1000 with taxes.
Only inconvenience would be an overnight stay in Bogota.
So any recommendations for a room in Bogota near Airport?
Even though I've been through Bogota many times for for hops between the coast and North America, I've never gotten out of ...
nobody can pertain to own it unless it's a guide or Peter says so
yes the subject can diverge
yes it can go out of topic
but that's also the beauty of threads.
If you see the thread go in a different direction, just lunch a new thread and specify that you want to keep it on topic and that people should stick to that.
It's not by coming back to the original thread a week later and complaining that it's gone off topic that you'll resolve the issue ...
Hi
My novia has passport but we're not sure if she's allowed to go to Panama without requiring a visa prioir to entering.
I've looked it up on the Internet and it seems that like me (a canadian), she'll just need to 'buy' a tourist visa at the airport in Cartagena from the airline before boarding the plane.
We're planning to meet up in Panama City since I'd like to avoid the extra cost of going down to Cartagena to then leave with her for Panama...
Tonight, I was listening to sports news on Radio-Canada french network and the commentator showed some video of Maradona appararently staying in the penthouse of an high rise that looks a lot that the one that's just besides The DeCameron in Cartagena.
Is he in Cartagena or somewhere else?
Also, the commentator found it funny that he would be in Colombia and likened it to an alcoolic who would be in Napa Valley doing the wine road.
Not very political ...
Peter, you own the site, nobody pays any fees to sign in. Isn't there anyway you could permanently ban people trouch their IP adresses or ranges?
Thanks
Of all my trips to Colombia, there are a couple of things that REALLY bug me and Beach Vendors rank right on top of this.
Everytime I go back to Colombia and hit the beach, there is no way to avoid them, ignore them or even have a nice day at the beach without them bugging you at least 10 or 15 times on slow day.
What's the solution?
Ignore them like their fellow colombians do? I'm just too polite to do that so I always end up looking at them or ans ...

It's been 5 years and I miss it!
-The moderate temperature (no 200% humidity like Cartagena)
-Pueblito Paisa (typical Antioquia pueblo representation)
-Sabaneta (for the people, lifestyle and security)
-Piedra del PeƱol (I know I know I'm too chicken to go up the stairs)
-my best friend's finca near Jericho in the Andes, from the porch you see the entire valley, WOW what a sight!
-Jericho (for its marvelous brick Iglesia and plaza)

Hi
I've been thinking about this move for some time but I don't know what the opportunities are like. If someone has any idea or is familliar with this industry in Colombia. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.
I'm specialised in "guerilla content creation" wich means I've developped an expertise in low budget (Final Cut HD based) installation of broadcast quality/film/HD editing suites and support. I've installed and supported a little less than 200 o ...

Hi!
I've travelled a lot to Colombia to visit friends and my novia for the last 10 years. Back in 2001, I was diagnosed with MS Level 1, since then I've never had trouble to travel down to Colombia with my Rebiff medication for the duration of my stay (Rebiff is usually injected intramuscular 3 times a week).
I am now thinking of moving down to Medellin or Cartagena for 4 to 5 months and I was wondering if the colombian equivalent of the FDA had approved the sale an ...
