Overstaying your 180 days, my experience!

Hello Guys, I just wanted to pass on my experience with a visit to the DAS regarding overstaying my 180 days in a 12 month period. Might be helpful to others. Anyway, I overstayed by 22 days, after reading on PBH some others experiences, I went to the DAS on Calle 100 the day before leaving as you are unable to pay the fine and receive the proper document at the airport. Tourist Visa Extension - Surprise at the DAS

Hello All, just got back from a visit to the DAS office on Calle 100 in Bogota. Went to get an extension to my tourist visa. Had all the paperwork, photocopies, photos, bancafe reciept, etc...! Everything that was requested to be provided on the DAS website.
To my great surprise, almost none of the paperwork was needed, except for the Bancafe reciept and 1 passport photo? And then I was given a 60 day extension, not the 30 days as expected!
Maybe I just got lucky? Not sure, ...

Length of stay in Colombia?

Hello, I'm travelling to Colombia in April. I have a question about how long I can stay in Colombia. I'm Australian, so do not require a visa. When I was in Bogota in December, they stamped my passport for 60 days. Now the question is, I have heard varying accounts of how long you can stay, some say 90 days, Colombian consulate website in Australia mentions 180 days? So, I'm wondering if someone here has had an experience with this. How easy is it to extend it, if it can be done at all? And what ...

Wanting to rent an Apartment in Bogota

Hello, I'm going to be studying spanish in Bogota from about the middle of April for approx 3/4 months. I'd like a small furnished apartment (studio/1 bedroom) for that time.
