Small, laid back town that's a good starting place for some treks. There is lots of vegetation at this altitude. There are plenty of good places to stay and eat.

Run by Germans, this place is pretty and friendly. You can also camp here (2$/person), single rooms are 5$/person. They have a veggie restaurant too.

French run hostal with great food (surprise), including Indian food options. Rooms are about 4$/person.
