Warning when you use use an internet cafe's in Colombia. I was the victome of a very clever scam that managed to steel my internet Password and Log on, My bank password and log on and also a none US account and log on that contained Gold. Cost of living in Colombia

Has any one besides me noticed how the cost of living is going up in Colombia. Augila that used to cost me 1,000.cp at my local tienda is now 1,100.cp the bus down used to be 900. cp its now 1,000.cp a bag of water was 200. cp then 2.20.cp now 3.00 cp. milk was 1,500 cp now it`s 1,600 cp. a ltr. and worst of all it now cost me an extra $20.00 when I go to the atm for money because of the low dollar against the cp. Move from Cartagena to Medillin

I have lived in Cartagena for about a year and a half and the Costa mentality is realy starting to get to me. I am going to visit Medillin in about a week to look at apartments for rent, I want to look in strata 3-4 areas any recomendations would be apreciated.

Novia Visa ?

I need to know if any one has any information about a so called Novia Visa. I have recieved conflicting reports about such a visa. One Canadian I talked with said he got his in One day in Bogata and stated all you need is a notorised letter from your novia stating she did not want you to leave the country as she dependid on you for support. He did not say what department issued it. I asked about it at DASS in Cartagena and they said there was no such thing.?

American dies in Santa Marta

I was visiting the Consulate in Barrenqilla and was advised by a Gringa that an American had been killed in Santa Marta yesterday 7-14- any one know any thing about it.
I was in Santa Marta over the 4th of July and had my pocket picked, lost my Passport and other important papers. The same Gringa was held up at an ATM in Barenquilla and lost here Passport and money. Are things are getting wors in this area.? ...
