Hi Bjorn! Thanks for the info on Cocuy. Thinking of doing it with my girlfriend. she's very outdoors but has never trekked like that before so we'll do Los Nevados first (call it a test) and Cocuy later in January. I could not find the 1995 LP so if, at all, you could scan and send me that map you talked about that would be greatly appreciated. We are planning on doing it in 7-8 days and carry everything ourselves. Some reports on the hike mention pretty hard core climbing? We possibly might do some mountaineering next year in the same area but if I understand it right there is no need for crampons or safetyrope on the 7 day trek? Thanks a lot man! where do you live these days?
